The Native American Council is still accepting applications for our Native American Birdwoman Student Scholarship! To increase access and opportunity for Native American social workers to advance in our field, NASW-CA will provide up to 10 $1,000 scholarships to Native American undergraduate or graduate social work students in California.

To apply, you must be:

  • An NASW member or join NASW
  • Enrolled in a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited school of social work in California
  • In your senior year with a declared social work major (if applying as an undergraduate student)

Previous scholarship recipients are welcome to apply again, with the understanding that applicants with no history of receiving this scholarship will have priority. Application deadline is August 31, 2022.
