We would just like to annouce that the presenter for, “How COVID-19 Changed Use of Technology in Social Work” – Saturday – 3:45pm – 5:15pm, Christa Tipton has been replaced by Murphy Milburn, LCSW. Murphy a licensed clinical social worker based in San Francisco who received his MSW from San Francisco State University emphasizing in clinical work with individuals, families and groups. Upon completion he pursued and attained a certification the Assessment & Treatment of Personality Disorders as well as Complex Trauma.
Murphy has spent the majority of his career challenging social injustice and improving human relationships by providing case management, behavioral therapy and vocational rehabilitation thru employment assistance programs through the Richmond Area Multi-Services Inc and San Francisco Government Assistance Program.
Murphy is an active member in the NASW-CA Technology Council by pursuing activism related to digital privacy and the ethical use of technology to benefit society both in the “cyberspace” and “real world” by participating protests, petition work and ensuring access to needed information, services, and resources; equality of opportunity and meaningful participation in decision making for all people.
