After three years of a virtual program, 2024 Legislative Lobby Days will be completely in-person on Sunday, April 21 and Monday, April 22! We are so excited to join hundreds of current and future social work professionals in Sacramento where we will be collectively advocating for issues that affect our profession, our clients, and our communities.
As the largest social work Lobby Days in California, NASW-CA’s Lobby Days is a two-day program where social work professionals and students throughout the state convene to learn the legislative process and gain real-world lobbying experience by advocating important policy issues to state legislators and/or their staff.

Advocate alongside us as a Team Leader or Volunteer
Become a Team Leader
We invite all social workers and students to participate as a Team Leader! Team Leaders assist in preparing and leading teams for their legislative appointments on Monday, April 22. Not only do Team Leaders enjoy a $20 discount off their ticket, but they also can meet important political contacts and gain advocacy and leadership experience at a macro-level.
Team Leaders do not need any prior experience. Training and orientation (light appetizers included) will be provided by NASW-CA staff to ensure your success! Legislative appointments are pre-scheduled by NASW-CA staff.
The registration deadline to become a Team Leader is Monday, March 25. Space is limited and on a first come first served basis.
Assist NASW-CA Staff as a Volunteer
Help make our in-person Lobby Days a memorable gathering and get involved with your social work community as a Volunteer! Throughout Sunday, April 21, volunteers will support NASW-CA staff with registration area check-in, material distribution, and general registration needs. Volunteers will receive a $20 discount off their ticket and the opportunity to build their network of contacts with other social work professionals.
