NASW California Chapter is excited to announce our new Operations Manager, Rida Fatima (she/her)! Please join us in giving Rida a warm welcome as we share her background and history with you.
Rida Fatima is an innovative, purpose driven, and meticulous leader. She has served several social justice/equity based non profits including The Greenlining Institute, Reinvent Stockton Foundation, and Learn by Design. In her previous role, she managed the operations and programming of Casa Joaquin Murrieta, an off campus residential leadership program for first generation BIPOC students at University of California, Berkeley.
Rida is passionate about spoken word poetry. Her poems have been published by the Tuleburg Press and Calliope Literary and Arts magazine. Her educational background is in sociology and gender studies. In 2021, she received a Woman of Distinction award from her alma mater University of the Pacific.
Rida is thrilled to bring her skills to NASW-CA. She hopes to streamline and increase the efficiency of the chapter’s operations so that we can continue enhancing the social work profession and meet the needs of our social workers.
