Jonathan Goh (he/him) is currently an MSW student at California State University, Sacramento.
Jonathan’s experience with refugees, those experiencing homelessness, and his international work, inform his world view and lead him to the belief that social workers must address macro level issues to affect the greatest change.
While earning his BA in History from the University of California, Davis, Jonathan maintained a seven-year career at Davis Community Meals, where he was promoted to multiple positions including overnight supervisor, case manager, data supervisor, and work program supervisor.
Jonathan was also able to work internationally teaching children living in Manshiyat Naser, the most impoverished part of Cairo, Egypt. As a former professional mixed martial artist, Jonathan had the honor of coaching children at the YMCA program in Beit Sahour, Palestine.
Jonathan knows that the NASW-CA Chapter will help educate and guide him on his quest to become a more informed and effective social worker, equipped to solve problems at both the micro and macro levels.
